5. Functions

You can practice using this spreadsheet.

Excel also comes with functions such as natural log, square root, etc.

Go to cell C5
Type =log(100)  and after you hit enter, the value should be 2.

Go to cell C4 and type 100
Go to cell C6 Type = log(C4)

You can also access many functions by going to the fx key at the top of your Excel page.  The picture below shows you where to look for this button.  Functions include average, standard deviation, square root etc.
